Kristin Center, Mrs. Maine 2007
Kristin Center, 36, of Freeport, was crowned Mrs. Maine USA 2007 in January 2007. She was represented by Port City Models and was sponsored with full fitness and nutrition training by the Personal Training Institute in Falmouth on Route 1. Mainegems also donated over $15,000 worth of Tourmaline jewelry to Mrs. Maine 2007. Diva Hair Studio in South Portland was her official hair and cosmetic sponsor and Sun City Tanning and Swimwear donated unlimited tanning.
Kristin is married to Harry, an attorney and has twin daughters and 2 step-daughters. She proudly graduated from the University of New England with an Associates Degree of Science in 2002 and a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2005. She is currently a practicing dental hygienist.
Kristin has been a competitive runner since she was 6 years
old and ran her first marathon in Oct. 2005 (26.2 miles) One of
her highest athletic accomplishments was attained when she
competed in Maine Corporate track and won a national gold medal
at the 2005 championships. She and her husband compete on
weekends in road races all over the state and throughout the
year. Her hobbies include running, fitness, singing, home
decorating, skiing, and basketball.

She feels her experience as Mrs. Maine 2007 helped her to continue developing her confidence as a wife, mother, athlete, professional and friend that will continue to grow with age. Kristin says, "Not only do I feel I have built a great foundation for my daughters by pursuing my profession at a later age, but I am an example of life learning, goals and accomplishments, fitness, beauty, poise and confidence to other married women. I pride myself on living the mantra, "never, never, never give up. Being Mrs. Maine is a continuation of being proud of who I am and I truly believe it's the journey that's invigorating. "
